The Anti-Crusader States is a collective group of factions dedicated to fighting off the Crusaders and capture/keep the Holy City of Jerusalem. Much like their enemies, they wish to advance the various interests from their respective religions, such as Eastern Christianity and Islamic Monotheism, throughout the Holy Land. They aim to drive all the infidels off the Holy Land in the name of Real-lord. This faction is split into two new factions called "Arab Alliance" and the "Roman Coalition" in The Third Crusade: Reforged.

The Sultanate of Ayyubid[]
Led by their intrepid leader, Saladin, the Sultanate of Ayyubid is the largest Arabic empire established to their point. Encompassing Egypt and the City of Cairo, all the way to Damascus and further throughout the middle east and the Arabian Gulf, the Ayyubid Dynasty is powerful and vast.
The Seljuk Sultanate of Rûm[]
The Seljuk Sultanate of Rûm were notorious for their brutality and swift conquest of Christian Lands. Their hostility and animosity towards Christians in their campaign is one of the primary reasons Pope Urban II claimed he called for the 1st Crusade.
The Byzantine Empire[]
Before the First Crusade, much of the Eastern Roman Empire was invaded by the Seljuk Empire. Calling on fellow Christians to help, the Crusades were aimed originally aimed to stop this Muslim invasion into Orthodox lands. However, when the Crusaders turned on the Eastern Roman Empire by sacking Constantinople, it forced the Emperor to sign an uneasy truce with Sultan Saladin and his fellow Muslims to halt the Catholics in their tracks.
The Kingdom Of Sicily[]
The Kingdom of Sicily is a Southern Italian empire with strong Orthodox roots. After conquering half of Italy, their fellow Orthodox Christians, the Eastern Romans, had their capital sacked multiple times by the Crusaders. Due to this great insult to their ally, they were forced to join sides with the Anti-Crusaders.
